On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Communications Associate to join their team of dedicated professionals in Saint John, New Brunswick.

 

Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Citizenship, this position will provide a great opportunity to be a part of an experienced team and gain exposure to a variety of marketing projects, community engagement activities, and events in a corporate office.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Assisting with the development and execution of a yearly communications calendar focused on positioning our brands through content, events, and community engagement activities.
• Support the planning and execution of company events and community engagement initiatives and develop post-event reporting to analyze engagement.
• Providing support with the production of an internal company-wide newsletter and its distribution.
• Develop engaging and persuasive content for a variety of mediums including but not limited to; social media, website materials, Public Relations messages and articles that effectively represent our brands and values.
• Working with external and internal vendors, freelance writers, and photographers to create content for various communications projects.
• Designing the visuals and creating messaging for content to align with the corporate strategy, as well as tracking and monitoring activities for quality and effectiveness.
• Develop monthly and quarterly reports for media monitoring and to analyze engagement metrics.
• Supporting other day-to-day marketing and communication initiatives such as film projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization on various initiatives.
• Maintain our digital asset management system, corporate subscriptions, and memberships.
• Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with all levels of management and stakeholders.
• An understanding and appreciation of the confidential nature of the position.

 

Required Education, Expereince, Knowledge, & Skills:

 

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
• 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong copy writing capabilities and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to details and a keen eye for design.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with multiple tasks being managed concurrently.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
• Advanced analytical abilities and MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills.
• Experience in photography and taking videos would be an asset.
• Creative mindset with experience in Canva or other graphic design programs would be an asset.
• Able to adapt, identify solutions and have a collaborative approach.
• Natural relationship builder who thrives in networking opportunities.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
